In order to provide connectivity to the rapidly urbanizing area, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is working on a feasibility plan to put the Metro on track up to Jewar.
The proposed 48- to 50-km Metro track is estimated to come at a cost of Rs 2,000 crore and will be aligned at the road level along the Yamuna Expressway.

GREATER NOIDA: After a Taiwanese consortium, a Dutch telecom company is planning to invest in Greater Noida. Scarlet, an internet service and telephony provider, is scouting for 200 acres of land to set up an electronic product manufacturing unit in the city, sources said on Monday.
According to sources, a meeting is scheduled between the representatives of the company, which has operations in Belgium as well, and Uttar Pradesh chief secretary Alok Ranjan in Lucknow on Tuesday. The company officials had earlier met the chairperson of Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority Rama Raman.

Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (TEEMA) plans to invest USD 200 million in electronic manufacturing sector at Greater Noida of Uttar Pradesh.
Led by TEEMA President, Francis Tsai, a seven-member delegation of the association met state Chief Secretary, Alok Ranjan in this regard here today.
Other members of the delegation included John Ko, John Lin, Dingo Ku, Gary Liu, GJ Lee and Sanjay Sony representing Taiwanese giants like D-Link, CTCI Corp, Winston Corp., etc.
Assuring full support of Uttar Pradesh government in project implementation of Taiwanese firms, Chief Secretary, Mr Ranjan said, “Incentives available under the State’s Infrastructure & Industrial Investment policy and Electronic Manufacturing policy of the State will be provided to the investors”.
